1. Acceptance of terms

By joining the MeshLine.net network, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't join a session.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MeshLine.net. By confirming your age at onboarding, you represent that this is true. Because the network has no accounts, we have no independent way to verify this — you are solely responsible for the accuracy of that confirmation.

3. Nature of the service

MeshLine.net is client software, backed by Cloudflare Workers/Durable Object infrastructure we operate, that connects your browser directly to other peers' browsers for calls and channel messaging. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted and not readable by us. Public lobby and channel messages pass through our infrastructure, including automated content moderation, before being stored and delivered — see Section 4. We don't mediate interpersonal disputes between peers; you interact with other peers at your own discretion and risk.

4. Acceptable use and automated moderation

You agree not to use MeshLine.net to:

• Transmit content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including material that exploits or endangers minors.
• Harass, threaten, or attempt to deanonymize other peers.
• Distribute malware or attempt to exploit the signaling, sync, or media layers of the protocol.
• Use the network for any activity that violates the rights of others.

Public lobby and channel messages are automatically screened by a moderation pipeline (heuristic filtering plus a Cloudflare Workers AI model) before storage and delivery; content that fails this check is rejected. This automated screening does not apply to end-to-end encrypted direct messages, which we cannot read. Beyond this automated layer, enforcement relies on the good faith of participants and, where applicable, the policies of third-party infrastructure (Cloudflare, Nostr relays) the network uses.

File sharing. Public media (images, videos, and other files attached to public posts) are uploaded to third-party Blossom servers (BUD-01/02), which receive and store the file content as-is. Direct message files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before upload — only the encrypted ciphertext reaches Blossom, and the decryption key is transmitted solely inside the NIP-44 end-to-end encrypted message envelope. Neither Blossom operators nor MeshLine.net infrastructure can read the content of files shared in direct messages.

5. No warranty

MeshLine.net is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including message delivery, uptime, or availability of any peer, tracker, or relay at any given time. Peer-to-peer networks have no guaranteed uptime because there is no central infrastructure keeping them running.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the maintainers of MeshLine.net are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the network, including but not limited to loss of data, exposure of your IP address to other peers, or the conduct of other users.

7. Termination

There is no account to terminate. You can stop using MeshLine.net at any time by closing the browser tab; this immediately removes your node from the network.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of MeshLine.net after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence. Since MeshLine.net operates without a central entity, disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce.

10. Infrastructure and Third-Party Services

MeshLine.net's signaling, presence, public messaging, and TURN relay run on Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects that we operate. Public channel messages may also be published to public Nostr relays as part of the app's public-broadcast feature. These are each subject to their own terms and privacy policies. By using MeshLine.net, you acknowledge that your IP address is visible to Cloudflare as our infrastructure provider, and — for direct or TURN-relayed calls — to the peer or relay you connect through.
